A Zone is a geographically isolated area of the Labyrinth. A list of known Zones is available here.
Zones have a central geographical theme, climate, fauna or equivalent, etc. Each zone features a central Plaza, where new Professions can be obtained, one or more Gates connecting to other zones near its border, and a number of lairs that can be explored. Its boundaries manifest as an elastic invisible wall, beyond which the zone loses detail and becomes a semi-featureless expanse covered in some form of grayish moss.
Zones are categorized by tiers. Access to a zone of tier N requires to have completed at least N lairs in any of the connected zones, save for Earth-connected zones which do not require any lair completion to enter from the Earth's side. It is assumed that is because Earth does not have any lairs.
The central Plaza of a tier N zone provides access to a number of tier N Professions.
