Nexus zone

Nexus zones are a special category of zones found in the Labyrinth.

The term nexus appears in the location descriptor of a Professional while in the zone, but not on the transit gate descriptors.

By their nature, Nexus zones are the focal point of High Tier Labyrinth civilizations.

Lairs

Nexus zones do not appear to have any lairs at all. It is therefore impossible for a Professional to use any Gate out of the Nexus zone, save for the one he/she's entered from.

It is perfectly admissible to trade and transfer any inert object through a nexus, but Professionals remain confined in their original sheaf.

Minor and Major

By convention, Nexus zones are denoted as minor if the various trunks they connect to also have normal pathways between them, and major if the trunks make completely separate Sheaves.

The labelling is not supported by Labyrinth descriptor, and it is speculated that Major Nexus's sheaves might be, in fact, connected by high tier pathways at one point, but the difficulty of mapping such paths make them elusive.

Connections

Nexus zones appear to be connected exclusively to Trunk zones of the same tier, and constitute an end point for the trunk.
