The Earth-410 divergence opens around April 3rd, 90BC, 88 years ago LT (labyrinth time).
The Gates opened up near the end of the Roman Republic's Bellum Sociale (The War of Allies, in which allies of Rome declared war to force Rome to incorporate them into the Republic, giving them equal political power in the Republic’s affairs).
Facing the weirdness of the Labyrinth, the Romans settled the affair and organized a massive effort to recruit Professionals. They conducted large-scale offensives on Numidia, then the Parthian Empire. The Roman then conducted an offensive across the Labyrinth and have obtained a foothold on the American continent.
88 years later, only the Chinese remain as opponents on that divergence, due to a massive effort against the Roman professionals across a handful of Labyrinth zones and the difficulty of conducting warfare across the expanse of Asia.
To ensure a long term advantage, Romans have seized upon making Professionals with Adjustment[1].
