Princess of the Second Rank Teaching Spellbender Zhuangjing is a Greatest Hero of the Labyrinth.

The daughter of the Emperor Jiaqing (Aisin Gioro Yongyan) of the Qing Manchu Dynasty and Imperial Noble Consort Heyu is the only member of the Royal Household to qualify for entrance into the Greater Planes. The second Chinese to enter the domain, she's risen to the top.

As a member of the Emperor's Great Council, she has the ability to shape the policies of the Empire to a large degree. Within the Labyrinth, her retinue constitutes what's called the Imperial Court Team, whose size swells when one of the Great Legends reappear in the high tiers of the Greater Planes.

Historical notes

The Princess of the Second Rank was the third daughter of the emperor. She is a second rank because her mother, Heyu, was an Imperial Noble Consort rather than the Empress, and only sons and daughters of the Empress could be of the First Rank.

By 1800, when the Gate of the Heavens open in the Imperial Forbidden City, she's been engaged to a Mongol prince of the Korchin clans, Sodnamdorji for 2 years. She was to be married next year... but that got derailed when she came close to the Gate and was whisked into the Greater Planes to be elevated as an Arcanist.

The fact that women (and noble ones) could become a Hero caused a furor in Imperial China. You do not say "no" to a noble woman who can shoot lightning from her fingertips. The plans for marriage were shelved, a suitable replacement proposed, and Zhuangjing moved into the closer Imperial Circle. She is very ambitious, and when the Emperor Jiaqing dies - which would have happened in 1820 - there might be an Empress on the throne rather than the Daoguang Emperor...
