Regeneration is a general ability of Professionals that affect their vital levels.
Regeneration Mechanics
The base, 100% level, of Regeneration causes any vital currently under its maximum value to increase by the Professional's current level, with modifications, every second.
Vital | Rate |
---|---|
Endurance | Level |
Aether | Level × ½ |
Health | Level × ⅓ |
Mind | Level × ¼ |
i.e. a level 300 Professional would recover 300 Endurance, 100 Health or 75 Mind every second.
Whenever a vital is reduced, either by an attack, effect or spending that vital for a skill, the base regeneration of that vital drops to 0% and the vital thus stops regenerating. After 10 seconds without further reduction, the base regeneration starts growing again by 1% every second, up to its normal full 100%.
i.e. a level 300 Professional that loses 500 health from a massive attack stops regenerating. After 10sec, however, that person regains 1 health. Then, at 11sec, 2 health are recovered. Then 3 and so on, until all health is recovered. Losing health again stops this, and resets the regeneration to the beginning.
Different vital pools may regenerate at different rates based on when the vital value dropped.
Enhanced Regeneration
Some pieces of gear include Regeneration percentages.
Those percentages are permanently added to the variable base percentage, as long as that piece of gear is worn.
i.e. a piece of gear adds +2% regeneration. If the level 300 Professional has lost 500 health, then on the next second, he/she recovers 2 health, and 2 every second, until the 10th. At the 10th second, 3 health are recovered, and so on, until the Professional recovers 102 Health per second (if still below maximum).
