Legendary Guardians are a level of difficulty on their own among the creatures that infest Lairs of the Labyrinth.
The following specific rules apply to Legends:
- Legend-difficulty creatures are always the last Guardians of a Lair, even if that outdoor lair has only the Legend in it. Such lairs are considered "major".
- Legendary Guardians' Treasure boxes always have two Artefact, sometimes (rarely) three.
- Legendary Guardians have a slow regeneration rate. Major lairs with more than just the Legend typically regenerate three or four times before the Legend comes back at its post at the end. Average regeneration time is 3 months.
- Legends have enormous vitals, starting at 20 times the value of a normal creature, and going up to over 30 times (thus far).
- Legends do enormous amount of damage with their attacks, typically 4 to 5 times the values of a normal creature.
- Legends typically use a bewildering amount of special abilities.
- Legendary Guardians start appearing in tier 5 zones, and have a minimum level of 500.
Due to their extreme difficulty vs their level, it's typical to have teams of 20+ Professionals tackling a Legend.
Given the level of power of Artefact gear obtained from these Guardians, they are extremely sought, and any major lair kept under careful watch.
