Puppets are a special form of "bag" found in the Labyrinth, starting very rarely in tier three Lairs.
Example:
Oak Puppet | Container |
Common Equipment | Requires: Level 50 |
Provides: 4 slots |
Each Puppet features the same gear emplacements as a Professional. The Puppet holder may mentally move any gear worn on the Puppet, or any gear on the Puppet on himself/herself. Non-Labyrinth clothing cannot be moved on a Puppet. Trying to move a piece of gear whose level exceeds yours to or from the Puppet also fails.
Moving a piece of gear on an emplacement that already has a piece of gear swaps the gear. If you were trying to move mundane clothes on the Puppet, then the clothes are replaced with the gear and fall on the ground.
Exceptional and above Puppets may hold multiple sets of gear, but the holder cannot use the same emplacement for more than two pieces of gear. Artefact quality puppets haven't been found yet.
Quality | Type | Min lvl | Slots | Gear sets |
---|---|---|---|---|
Common | Wooden | 50 | 4 | 1 |
Quality | Exotic woods | 200 | 9 | 1 |
Exceptional | Generic metal | 350 | 15 | 2 |
Heroic | Exotic metals | 500 | 22 | 2 |
Artefact | ? | 650? | 30? | 3? |
The detection of hidden gear emplacements using a Puppet came to everyone as a surprise. However, the fact that Exceptional 15-gear Puppets allow multiples of the same slot to be stored, while Quality ones with only 9 do not, is taken as an indication that there are no more than 14 potential equipment location types. With the addition of Core, 11 possible locations are now known.
