The British Scouts is one of the companies legally allowed to operate in the British section of the Labyrinth. It is sponsored by The Marquess Wellesley, who believes that expanding the breadth of the Labyrinth will increase the options available to the British Government, and that endeavor is paramount.

The British scouts does not make much money, but it is dedicated to exploring as many zones as possible.

Historical notes

Richard Wellesley, in the original history, had a various set of postings, culminating in his post as foreign minister (until 1812). But what interested me here is that he was primarily a colonial administrator until 1805... when China probably started mucking around the British possessions in Asia. So, he might have come back for slightly different reasons (the East India company was already expecting trouble by 1805 when he would have resigned).

Here, he is "Labyrinth minister" instead, and barely managed to conserve his post twice because some Lords think that members of the government should not own Labyrinth companies, due to conflict of interest.
