Profession naming

The system of Profession names is a rather simple prefix-name system.

Base names (simple)

Each of those professional "lines" is one in which the Profession highest requirement is a single Potential.

Examples:

• Rock is tier 2 Profession with an equal (20) Strength and Fortitude requirement, and nothing else
• Explorer is a tier 3 Profession with an equal (36) Dexterity and Intelligence requirement
• Squire is a tier 4 Profession with an equal (45) Constitution and Wisdom requirement

Base prefixes (simple)

Those prefixes are added to denote that the Profession requires an additional, lower-value Potential. This starts at tier 3.

Examples:

• Solid Gouger is a tier 3 Profession requiring a main Dexterity of 45 and an additional Strength of 20
• Resilient Spellwrangler is a tier 4 Profession requiring a main Intelligence of 85 and an additional Fortitude of 36
• Precise Sentinel would be a tier 5 Profession requiring a main Constitution of 145 and an additional Dexterity of 116, except that there is no such Profession

Mixed Prefixes (dual)

Mixed prefixes indicate the presence of two additional potentials of lower value than the main one(s). The order of appearance of the prefixes on the descriptor matters. This starts at tier 5.

• Opposing Spellthrower is a tier 6 Profession that has a main Intelligence of 235, and an additional Constitution and Strength of 188 and 116 respectively
• Steadfast Pathmaker is a tier 7 Profession that has a main Dexterity and Intelligence of 292, and an additional Fortitude and Agility of 188

Multi-prefix professions

Starting at tier 7, some Professions start having the potential for multiple prefixes, as they have one main requirement, and three additional requirements.

Example:

• Single, then dual, then main name: Calculating Manifest Watchman (FOC, then CON-PRE, then INT, could also theoretically be identified as Spectacular Massive Watchman).
