John Scott, First Earl of Eldon is a non-Professional British noble.
As Lord Chancellor, he directs the efforts to secure the safety of the United Kingdom during the crisis caused by the shutdown of the Great Gate of London. Securing a cooperation agreement with the USA is part of his efforts, but he fears this might not be enough.
Historical notes
He is First Earl of Eldon, and the Lord High Chancellor, which outranks, in theory, the Prime Minister even today. In normal history, he held that post from 1801 to 1827 with a small interruption, so there’s little reason why he wouldn’t be named Lord Chancellor after less than six months of divergent history, and none why he should have been replaced. So there.
